With its unique acoustic, sound insulation, striking interiors and competitive prices, the Amadeus Centre is a favourite venue for rehearsals, workshops and showcase concerts for the cream of London's chamber orchestras and choirs, including:

Rehearsals

The Upper Hall has a capacity of 55 players and our Lower Hall will accommodate up to 25 players for rehearsals or workshops. Music stands are provided together with any staging that may be required. The Upper Hall is equipped with a Yamaha C7 and the Lower Hall with a Kawai Upright piano.

Following major changes to the levels of sound insulation in both halls the acoustic particularly in the Upper Hall is excellent for both orchestral and vocal ensembles.

The Centre works extremely well for masterclasses and education workshops, to which the London Symphony Orchestra will testify. Our facilities are further enhanced by our excellent cafe service which is available for refreshments during your booking.

The Centre is available 7 days per week for morning, afternoon and evening sessions excluding Monday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.

Auditions

Following recent sound insulation improvements, the Centre offers superb audition facilities. Warm up rooms with piano are also available.

Auditions for the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition have been held here since 1993 and we have hosted auditions for the National Youth Orchestra since 1995. The BBC Singers rehearse and audition here regularly.

In addition to the space provided, the Cafe can be used as a Reception Area. Office facilities are also available by arrangement.

Concerts

The Centre also offers an excellent facility for either public performance or a private audience of up to around 150 people, especially when combined with a drinks reception and 3-course seated meal for your sponsors.
